Speedy Chocolate Oatmeal

Breakfast is always a time when we're craving something a little sweet, but want to make sure we're getting proper nutrition to fuel the day. Enter this incredible protein-packed oatmeal to show us how mornings are the perfect time for a chocolate fix! This recipe has you covered: Whole grain with a sweet twist.

Makes 1 serving

 

Ingredients: 

¾ cup milk, diary or plant-based

1 scoop whey protein powder

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

tablespoons maple syrup

½ cup old fashioned rolled oats

Raspberries, for serving, optional

Cinnamon, for serving, optional

Maple syrup, for serving, optional

 

    Directions:

     1In a medium sized saucepan, add the milk, whey protein powder, cocoa powder, and maple syrup, and whisk together over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.

    2Add the rolled oats and thoroughly combine. Cook for an additional 3-minutes.

    3. To serve, add raspberries, a dash of cinnamon, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
