Salty Sweet Popcorn

Your movie nights will never be the same! This delicious and easy snack is a treat for all ages, and sneaks in some added protein. Snuggle up on the couch for a binge-watch-a-thon, this recipe is sure to satisfy the whole gang.


Yield: 

Makes ½ cup of popcorn, can easily be doubled for sharing

 

Ingredients: 

 ½ cup popcorn, popped with an air popper

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 scoop whey protein powder

½ tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

 

Directions:

  1. Start with freshly popped corn, unsalted.

  2. In a small bowl, add the scoop of whey protein powder, cinnamon, sugar, and salt, and thoroughly combine.

  3. Melt the coconut oil on the stove or in the microwave. Pour the melted coconut oil over the popped corn. Add the whey protein powder mixture over the top and toss until the popped corn is fully coated.
