Raisin Pecan Protein Bread

Try this bread the next time you want to up your sandwich game. It is also great bread for your favorite jam or grass-fed butter. It toasts up very nicely and no one will ever know it has protein in it!



Makes 1 loaf of bread



1 cup raisins

1 cup water, boiling

1 ½ cups whole wheat flour

¾ cup oat flour, old-fashioned oats ground in a food processor

3 scoops Farm To Muscle whey protein powder

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup egg whites, liquid

½ cup applesauce, unsweetened

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans



1. Heat your oven to 350 degrees and spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside. In a small bowl, add the raisins with the 1 cup of boiling water. Let sit while you work on the rest of the ingredients.

2. In a large mixing bowl, add the whole wheat flour, ground oats, whey protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

3. In a medium-sized bowl, add the egg whites, applesauce, vanilla, raisins, and water mixture. Thoroughly combine. Add this to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Fold in the pecans.

4. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 8-10 minutes and then fully cool on a cooling rack before slicing. Enjoy!
