Overnight Oats

This recipe is perfect for make-ahead breakfasts. We’ve packed it with extra protein so the whole grains paired with the whey protein powder will keep you going all morning long. This recipe makes enough for 2-4 portions depending on your portioning, perfect for sharing with a friend!

Yield: 

Makes (4) 8 oz. jars

 

Ingredients: 

1 ½ cups Rolled Oats, don’t use quick oats

2 tablespoons chia seeds

2 cups milk, dairy or plant-based

2 scoops whey protein powder

2 tablespoons sweetener of choice, we love local honey

To serve: 

Fruitfresh blueberries, raspberries, or bananas, optional

Toasted chopped pecans, optional

Homemade granola, optional

Directions:

1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the rolled oats, chia seeds, milk, whey protein, and sweetener. Thoroughly combine together.

2. Using glass jars with lids, add the oat mixture to the halfway point on 8 oz. jars. Fasten the lids and place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

3. To serve, heat in the microwave for 1-minutes. Top with the fruit and nuts or granola and eat. Enjoy!
